1. The short version

We collect what we need to market your business and bill you for it — your business details, your brand materials, your contact information, and how your content performs. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train public AI models. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time.

2. What we collect

CategoryExamplesWhere it comes from
Contact details Your name, business name, email address, phone number You, via our onboarding or contact forms
Business information What you sell, your offers, hours, service area, target customers, tone preferences, competitors you named You, during onboarding and in ongoing feedback
Brand materials Logos, photos, footage, existing copy, colors, fonts you send us You
Approval records Which items you approved, paused, or sent back, any notes you wrote, and the time you responded Generated when you use an approval link
Performance data Views, engagement, reach, clicks, email opens, ad results for your published content Social, email, and ad platforms
Payment information Billing name, the last four digits and expiry of your card, plan and payment history Stripe — we never receive your full card number
Technical data IP address, browser type, pages viewed, approximate region, error logs Automatically, when you use our website

We ask only for what the service needs. You are not required to give us anything beyond that, though leaving out business details will make your content less accurate.

3. Why we use it

  • To produce your marketing. Your business information is the raw material for your videos, captions, and emails.
  • To learn your preferences. We keep a running profile of your brand voice and what you have accepted or rejected, so the service improves as it goes and you are not re-explaining your business every month.
  • To run the approval process. We need your email to send approval links and to record your decisions.
  • To publish and measure. We use your connected accounts to post approved content and to read back how it performed.
  • To bill you and keep required financial records.
  • To support you — answering questions, fixing problems, and telling you about changes that affect your service.
  • To keep the service secure and lawful, including preventing fraud and abuse.

Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service, your consent where we have asked for it, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months. We do not rent or trade your customer lists.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run Trust Your Mark, and only what each one needs:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Our website host — serving our site, forms, and approval pages.
  • Our email provider — delivering approval requests, receipts, and campaign emails.
  • AI model providers — generating video, voiceover, images, and copy from the briefs we build out of your business information.
  • Social, email, and advertising platforms — publishing your approved content and returning performance data.

These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect someone's rights or safety. If the business is ever sold or transferred, your information may transfer with it, and we will tell you before that happens.

6. Your data and AI models

We use third-party AI providers to generate content. Your business information is sent to them as part of the instructions for producing your videos and copy.

We do not license your data to anyone for training public AI models, and we select providers whose terms do not train their general models on our submissions. We cannot, however, promise anything about a provider's internal handling beyond what its own terms commit to. If you have information you would not want sent to a third-party AI provider, do not include it in your onboarding materials, and tell us.

Separately, we use anonymous, aggregated learnings across clients — such as which hook styles or posting times perform well — to improve the service. That analysis does not identify you or your business.

7. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses only what it needs to function. We store your light or dark theme choice and, on our internal tools, saved draft data in your own browser's local storage. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or sell tracking data. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.

Your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honored where they apply.

8. How long we keep it

  • Your client profile and brand materials — while you are a client, and for 12 months after you cancel, so you can return without starting over. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Produced content — we keep copies for 12 months after cancellation so you can still retrieve it.
  • Approval records — kept for 3 years, because they are the record of what you authorized us to publish.
  • Billing records — kept for 7 years, as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Technical logs — typically 90 days.

9. How we protect it

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held with reputable providers. Payment details are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor, so card numbers never reach our systems. Access to client information is limited to those who need it to do the work.

We will not overstate this: we are a small operation, and no system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any required authority promptly and tell you what we know.

One practical note: approval links contain your content details and can be opened by anyone holding the link. Please treat them as confidential and tell us if one needs to be replaced.

10. Your rights and choices

Wherever you are, you may ask us to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
  • Get a copy of it in a portable format.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete it, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
  • Opt out of marketing emails from us.
  • Withdraw consent where we relied on it.

If you are in California, these rights include the CCPA rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If you are in the EEA or UK, they include the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Email nikki@trustyourmark.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. You can use an authorized agent.

11. Email and messages

We will email you about your service — approval requests, receipts, reports, and important changes. These are part of the service and are not marketing.

Separately, we may email you about new features or offers. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your service emails.

If we run email campaigns on your behalf to your customers, you remain responsible for having permission to contact those people, and those campaigns must comply with anti-spam laws including CAN-SPAM. We include unsubscribe handling in campaigns we send for you.

12. Children

Trust Your Mark is a business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child's information has reached us, email us and we will delete it.

13. Where your data is handled

We operate in the United States, and your information is processed here and by providers who may operate elsewhere. If you are outside the United States, using the service means your information is transferred to the US, which may have different data protection laws than your own country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

14. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your information, we will email you before it takes effect. Smaller updates are posted here with a new effective date.
